About Me
I am an accomplished educator with labor research and social media experience, and a passion for racial and economic justice. I am currently interning with the Research and Strategic Initiatives department at AFT, as well as taking classes in labor studies through a master's program at UMass Amherst.
While teaching and researching has afforded me a well-rounded skillset, including excellent time management and organizational skills, I excel at:
Managing multiple projects at once;
Working both independently and in collaboration with others;
Learning about complex issues and making the research accessible to a general audience;
Problem-solving and paying attention to detail under pressure;
Using social media and other digital tools in strategic campaigning;
Centering racial and economic justice in my work
While teaching, I served as a site representative and member engagement officer in my union. I also started an instagram account called Empowered Teachers, which I managed for a year. I curated content from artists, educators, and activists, as well as created digital content of my own. I also used my skills in graphic design to create digital content for California's Yes on Prop 15 campaign, which was shared widely across many social media channels. I would love the opportunity to bring all of my passion and experience to your organization!
